Guest code of conduct and facility policies for the Lorain Ohio KartPlex
The Lorain Ohio KartPlex is committed to providing affordable family entertainment in a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable atmosphere. All guests are expected to follow these guidelines while on our property.
The following behaviors are prohibited on KartPlex property:
Unruly, disruptive, or illegal conduct of any kind is not tolerated.
Intoxication resulting in offensive or irresponsible behavior is prohibited.
Foul or abusive language and obscene gestures are not permitted.
Interference with events or racing operations is strictly prohibited.
Ignoring instructions from staff, officials, or security will not be tolerated.
Harassment of guests, participants, officials, or staff is prohibited.
Theft, vandalism, or destruction of property will result in immediate action.
All guests are responsible for their own conduct as well as the conduct of anyone in their party. Violations may result in ejection without refund and loss of future admission privileges.
These rules apply to all drivers on the track, whether you are a rental guest or a kart owner competing in a race event.
Follow all instructions from flag marshals and track staff at all times.
Helmets must be worn at all times while on the track surface.
No deliberate contact, bumping, or aggressive driving toward other karts.
Obey all flag signals — failure to respond may result in removal from the session.
No stopping on the racing line — if you spin or stall, remain in your kart and wait for a marshal.
Pit lane speed limits must be observed at all times.
No cell phones, cameras, or loose items while driving.
Long hair must be secured; no loose clothing, scarves, or dangling jewelry.
Closed-toe shoes are required to operate any kart.
Drivers under the influence of drugs or alcohol are strictly prohibited from driving.
Maximum 10 mph speed limit in all pit areas.
Children must be supervised by an adult at all times in the pit area.
Proper footwear required — no open-toe shoes or sandals in the pit.
Keep your pit space clean and organized; dispose of waste in designated areas.
No blocking access roads or emergency lanes with equipment or vehicles.
Fuel handling must follow posted safety procedures.
Generators must be operated in designated areas only.
Hot items (exhaust components, brakes) must cool before disposal.
Report any spills (fuel, oil, coolant) to staff immediately.
Outside alcohol is not permitted. Alcoholic beverages are available for purchase at designated locations. Intoxicated guests may be denied participation and asked to leave.
Smoking and vaping are prohibited in all indoor areas, seating areas, and near fuel storage. Designated smoking areas are available throughout the facility.
Pets must be kept on a leash at all times and away from the track surface and pit areas. Only ADA-certified service animals are permitted in seating and indoor areas.
Drone operation is strictly prohibited on or above KartPlex property without prior written authorization from management.
Personal photography and video are welcome for non-commercial use. Professional or commercial media must obtain credentials in advance.
Racing continues in rain — we race in all weather conditions. Activities will only be temporarily halted if lightning is detected within 5 miles of the facility.
All minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Waivers must be signed by a parent or legal guardian for all minors.
Children under 12 must be supervised at all times throughout the facility.
Strollers are not permitted in pit areas or on viewing platforms near the track.
If you witness unsafe behavior, a policy violation, or need assistance, please notify any KartPlex staff member or visit the front desk. Your safety and comfort are our top priority.
