Black River Kart Club (BRKC) is the competitive karting arm of the Lorain Ohio KartPlex — a world-class motorsports destination on the shores of Lake Erie. We exist for the dedicated racer: the driver who owns their own machine, obsesses over setup, and lives for the checkered flag.
The facility features a 0.82-mile international competition circuit with 18 technical turns, on-site kart storage, heated garages, and a full-service dealership. Our race program launched in July 2025 and is built around a fair, organized, and competitive environment for drivers of all age groups.
Each membership applies to one (1) driver and cannot be transferred. Membership fees support series operations, staffing, trophies, and prizes.

Apex Karting Academy provides Competition Karting Camps — structured group training for experienced drivers ages 8 and up, with competition karts available to rent to simplify transportation and support high-level development in a competitive environment.
