The wait is over. Outdoor kart rentals are officially open to the public at Lorain Ohio KartPlex. Visitors can now hit our 0.43-mile outdoor rental circuit in professional Tillotson rental karts — no experience required, just show up and drive.
Each rental session is a discounted rate of $30 and includes eight minutes of on-track driving time on a purpose-built circuit designed for drivers of every skill level. Whether you are stepping into a kart for the very first time or you are a seasoned racer looking for some seat time, our karts and track deliver a real motorsports experience in a safe, professionally managed environment.
Sessions are available on a walk-in, first-come, first-served basis, and online booking is now available so you can reserve your spot ahead of time. Visit our rentals page to book and to see the latest session hours.
A few things to know before you arrive: drivers must be 16 years or older and present a valid state ID or driver’s license. Drivers under 18 must have a parent or guardian present to sign their waiver. A safety briefing and all required equipment are included with every session.
Rental hours will vary from week to week as we ramp up operations, so check the rentals page and our event calendar for the most current schedule. Multi-ride packages are coming soon, and junior sessions for younger drivers are on the way.
Outdoor kart rentals are just the beginning. The Lorain Ohio KartPlex will continue opening in phases throughout 2026, with sim racing, indoor electric karting, group and corporate event spaces, dining, and more still to come. This is a milestone moment for our team and for the Northeast Ohio motorsports community, and we cannot wait to welcome everyone out to the track.
