Lorain Ohio KartPlex Announces 2026 Launch, Introducing a World-Class Motorsports Destination and Apex Karting Academy
Lorain, OH — 2026 is shaping up to be a landmark year as Lorain Ohio KartPlex prepares to open its gates and establish itself as one of the premier karting and motorsports entertainment complexes in the world.
Designed to serve everyone from first-time drivers to elite competitors, the Lorain Ohio KartPlex is being developed as a comprehensive motorsports destination that blends professional-grade racing facilities with entertainment, education, and long-term driver development.
At the heart of the KartPlex is a state-of-the-art outdoor karting circuit engineered to support both recreational use and high-level competition. The facility is purpose-built with an emphasis on safety, flow, and progression, providing an environment where drivers can develop skills and confidence at every stage of their racing journey.
In addition to on-track experiences, the KartPlex will feature a modern SIM racing center and supporting amenities, creating a destination that delivers year-round motorsports entertainment both on and off the track.

Apex Karting Academy will provide beginners with a structured, professional pathway into karting, focusing on the fundamentals of race craft, including proper driving technique, kart control, racing lines, braking, and situational awareness.
